Government Relations

Attorneys at Salmon, Lewis & Weldon have extensive experience working with governmental entities at all levels and on legislative, regulatory and policy matters to meet our clients’ strategic objectives. We work with federal and state legislative bodies, the executive branch, federal and state regulatory agencies and administrative bodies, as well as county and city governing boards to develop, implement and amend legislation and policies for issues shaping our clients’ industries.

We represent our clients’ interests in many areas, including water rights, energy, environmental matters and natural resources. For example, several of our attorneys have been active in obtaining congressional approval of several Arizona Indian water rights settlements and, most recently, were successful in settling the water rights of the Gila River Indian Reservation.
